South Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network (SAFETYNET) organized a celebration on 'World Field Epidemiology Day' for the first time in Nepal at National Health Training Center (NHTC) on September 7, 2022.
Dr. Yadu Chandra Ghimire, Director of NHTC and Course Director of FETP, Nepal chaired the ceremony. Staff of MoHP, SAFETYNET and WHO participated in the celebration.
'Empowering Field Epidemiologists for Stronger Health Systems' is the theme of this year for World Field Epidemiology Day. With technical support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta, USA, and SAFETYNET, Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) in Nepal is scheduled to be started in 2022.
In celebration of World Field Epidemiology Day, all stakeholders and partners acknowledged CDC and SAFETYNET for starting the Field Epidemiology Training Program in Nepal.
