SAFETYNET Pakistan is delighted about the successful training workshop on Biosafety, Biosecurity, and Sample Transportation that took place in Quetta, Baluchistan last May 22 to May 24, 2023.
This workshop holds particular significance as it marked the first training experience for 90% of the participants in the province. Balochistan, being the largest province in Pakistan with 33 districts, is in great need of such training initiatives.
The training workshop focused on equipping the participants with knowledge and skills in biosafety, biosecurity, and sample transportation. It aimed to familiarize them with international standards and best practices in handling hazardous materials, conducting risk assessments, and utilizing personal protective equipment effectively. By implementing these measures, the workshop aimed to mitigate potential risks associated with biological samples and enhance the overall quality of work in the laboratories.
