SAFETYNET or South Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network, Inc. is an organization that fosters collaboration and cooperation in disease prevention and control efforts among countries in the Asia Pacific region by supporting applied epidemiology programs and enhancing surveillance systems.

SAFETYNET cooperates with government, non-government, and international agencies to increase inter-regional exchange, expertise sharing, as well as inter-agency and interdisciplinary collaborations to build applied epidemiology capacity among Asian nations. SAFETYNET supports frontline, intermediate and advance epidemiology trainings.


SAFETYNET is committed to supporting the countries in running FETP programs and thus is looking forward to recruit highly qualified persons with skills in conducting trainings on ground as well on online platform for the position of Training Associate for Epidemiology Trainings


Job Summary

To provide techno-managerial support to Epidemiology Trainings in India, s/he is expected to undertake following activities:

  1. Prepares curriculum for the academic year

  2. Prepares and schedules didactic training

  3. Initiates screening for new EIS/FETP officer

  4. Evaluates promotion from junior to senior year and graduation candidates

  5. Develop, implement, and monitor results of surveillance activities, epidemiological studies, and surveys

  6. Works on data management for all workforce development activities including monitoring and evaluation activities

  7. Work closely with partners, scheduling site visits and meeting with representative of each collaborating partner organization to ensure that program results are achieved and capacity building, surveillance, and research activities are progressing within appropriate timelines

  8. Facilitates the process of delivering instruction, tracking training requirements, monitoring and evaluation and best practices.

  9. Training account management for public and in-house programs.

  10. Prepare training support requirements, i.e. supplies and logistics.

  11. Assist the resource person in the preparation of presentation materials and course handouts

  12. Handle communication and course requirement to and from the participants and the resource person.

  13. Gather relevant inputs/information (logistics, materials, facilities, equipment) before, during and after the course delivery.

  14. Prepare for after event (post training report, evaluation summary).

  15. Provide direct, close-in support to each faculty/resource person before, during and the actual/online training conduct.

  16. Perform all other tasks assigned by the Program Adviser SAFETYNET / CDC Resident adviser.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Graduate in any discipline

  • One year experience in conducting trainings. Preference will be given to applicants worked in FETP training program and have experience of conducting online trainings.

Experience and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Excellent interpersonal relations; ability to network, work in multi-cultural team environment, and work harmoniously with multiple partners

  • Good working knowledge of computer applications, especially MS office, Epi Info

  • Strong and proven documentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to travel extensively at short notice
