Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Nepal celebrated the 4th World Field Epidemiology Day on September 8, 2024 at National Health Training Center (NHTC), Nepal. FETP graduates from cohort 1 – 7, participated in the celebration. Dr. Dipendra Raman Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Dr. Bibek Lal Das, Director General, Department of Health Services (DoHS), Dr. Umesh Dahal, Director General, Department of Livestock, Dr. Yadu Chandra Ghimire, Director, Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), Dr. Anuj Bhattachan, Director, NHTC and Course Director, FETP, Nepal and other relevant partners attended the celebration.
Dr. Maria Consorcia Lim Quizon, Executive Director, SAFETYNET, participated the ceremony and received the certificate of appreciation from the Secretary, MoHP for the continuous support to implement and strengthen the FETP program since 2022.
In her speech, Dr. Conky emphasized on the importance on the collaboration among interministerial and interministerial institute related to FETP implementation in Nepal. She reiterated the support of SAFETYNET to strengthen advanced level of FETPs and a roadmap for FETP, Nepal. All the invited guests and partners expressed their commitment to FEPT program in Nepal.
