Background
SAFETYNET, or South Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network, Inc. is an organization that fosters collaboration and cooperation in disease prevention and control efforts among countries in the Asia Pacific region by supporting applied epidemiology programs and enhancing surveillance systems.
SAFETYNET cooperates with government, non-government, and international agencies to increase inter-regional exchange, expertise sharing, and inter-agency and interdisciplinary collaborations to build applied epidemiology capacity among Asian nations. SAFETYNET supports frontline, intermediate and advance epidemiology training.
SAFETYNET is committed in supporting the countries in running FETP programs and thus is looking forward to recruiting one qualified person for the position of administrative assistant in Cambodia
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is typically the minimum requirement. A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., administration, management, or public health) might be preferred but is not explicitly mentioned.
Job Summary
The Cambodia Administrative Assistant will be reporting on a day-to-day basis to Cambodia Technical Advisor or the FETP Director at CDC/MOH. He or she is expected to perform the following tasks:
Filing of documents and correspondence related to the Frontline and Intermediate FETPs
Purchase of training materials, office supplies and equipment in accordance with SAFETYNET guidelines
Scheduling meetings with stakeholders as well as act as minute taker in the meeting
Reproduction of and distribution of training materials during workshops
Registration of participants during workshops
Compilation of required outputs (reports) of FETP trainees
Communicating with FETP faculty, field supervisors/mentors and trainees
Disbursement of per diems and honoraria for FETP faculty, field supervisors/mentors and trainees with proper documentation as required by SAFETYNET
Other administrative tasks to be assigned by Technical Advisor and the SAFETYNET Deputy Director and Executive Director.
Working Experience and skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills in both Khmer and English.
Proven experience in administrative roles or similar tasks, such as document filing, meeting scheduling, and workshop coordination will be advantageous.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders (FETP faculty, mentors, trainees, and SAFETYNET staff).
Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to manage documentation and financial tasks, such as disbursement of per diems and honoraria with proper documentation.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proactive and flexible in performing various administrative duties.
Renumeration
Salary will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with SAFETYNET’s policy. Travel allowances and per diems will be provided for work-related trips.
