SAFETYNET is honored to have contributed to the successful organization of the Annual Epidemiology Conference and Certificate Awarding Ceremony for FETP Intermediate Trainees Course Cohort 2, held from 17-18 December 2024 at the Angkor Paradise Hotel in Siem Reap Province. This significant event brought together 119 participants, including epidemiologists, public health professionals, researchers, and policymakers, to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and discuss innovative solutions for public health challenges in Cambodia.
The conference featured insightful sessions on outbreak investigations, public health surveillance, and the implementation of One Health approaches to address zoonotic diseases, vector-borne diseases, and antimicrobial resistance. It served as a platform for open discussions and networking among FETP cohorts, researchers, and stakeholders from various ministries and organizations.
A highlight of the event was the certificate awarding ceremony for the 10 graduates of FETP Intermediate Cohort 2. SAFETYNET congratulates these graduates for their outstanding achievements and dedication to advancing public health. Their success reflects a strong commitment to improving surveillance systems, responding to outbreaks, and strengthening public health resilience.
SAFETYNET extends heartfelt gratitude to its partners, including the Ministry of Health, WHO, US CDC, and other collaborators, for their invaluable support. We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of these graduates and look forward to continuing our mission of enhancing public health capacity in Cambodia.
